OK, get this... Three of my four grandparents are from Santa Magherita di Belice...I have been there (1979) and stayed in the barracks...gone to Mass in the barracks church...and visited distant relatives. Here's the cool part: My maternal grandmother's name was Antonina MAGGIO! My maternal grandparents settled in Brooklyn as they came over in waves from 1900-1915. We most certainly are (not too distantly) related! I would love to correspond with you, share memories and hunt for common ancestry.
